Ajou University’s Department of Energy Systems Research has been selected as the “Department of the Year” in the university category of the 28th Samsung Human-Tech Paper Awards.
The Samsung Human-Tech Paper Awards, hosted by Samsung Electronics since 1994, aim to identify outstanding scientific talent and foster a research- and technology-oriented academic environment. The awards are divided into university and high school categories, and in addition to individual awards, a special award is presented to select the “Department of the Year” in each category.
The “Department of the Year” award received by the Department of Energy Systems Research is given to the department that has shown the greatest increase in submitted papers over the past three years. The award includes a prize of 5 million KRW.
The Department of Energy Systems Research stated, “Our department cultivates energy industry professionals with integrative intelligence through interdisciplinary research-based education in the field of renewable energy. This award was made possible by the excellent research achievements of our faculty and students.”
